画像表示端末 (VDT) を使用したオフィスワークに適用される、人間工学的な配慮の世界的な指針。ISO 9241-11 では、以下のようにユーザビリティを定義している。
「Extent to which a product can be used by specified users to achieve specified goals with effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction in a specified context of use.」（特定の目的を達成するために、特定の利用者が、特定の利用状況で、有効性、効率性、そして満足とともにある製品を利用することができる度合い。）
